- Internal code overhaul - reduced queries, reduced number of queries in SQL cache files, less template files loaded

- Ability to moderate albums, including move images to and from albums, hide and unhide images in albums, pin and unpin images in albums, etc.
Plus dozens of small cleanups here and there. Much of the work went into the backend - there was a lot of abstraction of common functions, and a lot of work put into making Gallery run more efficiently. There is now a much stronger base moving forward to work from than before, and adding new features should be much easier than it was previously.

Published 11 months ago in Forum SoftwareWe are pleased to announce the release of IP.Board 2.3.1 and IP.Converge 1.0.0 RC 1
IP.Board 2.3.1
This release fixes some bugs reported in the 2.3.0 release and includes a command-line post rebuild script for larger boards. As with any new release please be patient for upgrade requests as our staff works through the queue. An upgrade pack from 2.3.0 to 2.3.1 with only changed files is available in the client area for easier upgrading.
IP.Converge 1.0.0 RC 1
IP.Converge is our system which allows you to link multiple IPS products allowing them to use one central login authentication system. Power users can also write their own authentication modules to allow for single sign on across other applications. This is the first public release candidate for IP.Converge. As a release candidate, we will not be able to provide technical support. Please submit any bugs you may find to our bug tracker. IP.Converge requires IP.Board 2.3.1 to function.
Getting Started Guide
For our new or novice users, a getting started guide has been added to our documentation page. This guide provides a quick overview on setting up an example board on a new installation. Our full documentation and developer documentation has also been updated.

Published 11 months, 1 week ago in Forum SoftwareWe have been notified that a vulnerability exists in the profile updating functions of IP.Board 2.2.0 - IP.Board 2.2.2.
Although the vulnerability cannot change any authentication credentials such as the email address or password and the vulnerability cannot be used to craft XSS (cross site scripting) attacks it can be used to cause a nuisance by updating another user’s AIM name, Yahoo! identity, et. cetera.
The update (attached) is a single file update to “sources/action_public/xmlout.php”. Manual patch instructions are also supplied.
The main download zip has been updated at the time of this announcement.
We would like to thank “iMMENSE” for bringing this to our attention.

Published 11 months, 2 weeks ago in Forum SoftwareNew Default Skin for IPS Community Products Now Available
We are pleased to be able to reveal the new default skin for all IPS community products. This new skin will be offered as an alternative to the classic blue skin currently available. Both the classic blue and this new skin will both still be available.
The new default skin was designed with ease of modification in mind. There are no gradients and the CSS is much more simplified thereby allowing for easier modification and matching your web site. The new skin also takes a much cleaner approach to displaying your conversation which is, after all, what everyone uses their communities for.
We invite you to look around and let us know if there are any errors in the new skin you might come across. Of course the new skin will not be for everyone and that is why we will be offering both as an option.
In the coming weeks expect more information on the next series of software updates for our products. Thank you for your continued interest and business!
