It also has some security fixes for another less important XSS where a user could "attack himself" with adding an invalid email address (thanks to Carlos Ghan for pointing out this issue), see the changelog below for details.

Therefore we urge all Phorum users to upgrade as soon as possible.

If you are upgrading from an earlier version than 5.2.14, keep these information from the 5.2.14 release announcement in mind:

We have a great platform to work with and decided to make use of it for better clearer and faster support. :)

Customers will find that I have re-arranged the support forums and added simple thread Prefixes to help you easily tag your support request with your specific product.

I also posted some guidelines on how to request support.

Following the new guidelines should help speed up support issues.

I know is not much but I think it will help everyone in the long run.

Unfortunately when I released them I forgot of 2 security tokens, one in the Quick Link Drop down menu and one for users with Javascript Disabled.

If you have previously downloaded the 3.8.5 styles before this post please re download the files again to have the issue corrected.

If you have already customised your forum and want to apply the fix manually simply follow these simple steps:

in NAVBAR template look for:

To celebrate this, we’re throwing a WordPress BBQ at SxSW tomorrow so that there’s a place for us all to get together.

If you’re a WordPress fan attending SxSW (or you just happen to be in Austin), please join us for lunch after 12pm* tomorrow, Sunday March 14. We’re getting the BBQ from Rudy’s and the red velvet cake from Central Market. Yum! Come, eat, talk about the cool things you’re doing with WordPress, let us know what we can do better, gossip about Mark Jaquith’s new hairstyle, whatever. Think of it like a WordCamp without presentations. I’ll be there, lead developers Mark Jaquith and Ryan Boren will be there, core contributors will be there, plugin and theme developers will be there, and basically all the most intelligent and attractive people from SxSW will be there. You should be, too!

Location: Conjunctured coworking space, 1309 East 7th St., Austin, TX 78702. From the convention center, walk up to 7th Street, hang a right, and walk until you get to #1309. If you’re tired of walking, taking a cab is a decent option. Note that this is on the other side of I-35 from the convention center.

After the success of Londonvasion 2008, we expressed our intention to hold annual events in different locations around the world. Due mostly to time constraints, we made the difficult decision of skipping the organisation of a conference last summer and instead held or participated in some smaller events (The Management/Developer Meeting, OSCON, etc.). We have been accumulating our excitement and are determined to make up for lost time this year!

When?

We chose a date that would not conflict with other relevant conferences taking place during the summer.

Below is a map of the area. The exact name/address of the venue will be announced at a later time. As you can see, some hotels and other interesting points have been marked for your convenience. These will be updated as more information is received and announced.

Registration
Admission to the event will require prior registration. We will charge a nominal fee (Londonvasion was £10) to dissuade registration by individuals who have no intention of actually attending. Another announcement will be posted when the registration page is opened. A large meeting room has been booked and plenty of tickets will be available.

Sponsorship
Please email libertyvasion[AT]phpBB[DOT]com if you or your organisation are interested in sponsoring Libertyvasion. We would be happy to distribute your materials or discuss alternative means of advertising during the event. In addition to the physical event itself, we will be publishing photos and videos (as was done for Londonvasion).

Post-conference social event
After the conference, we will reconvene at a local restaurant/bar for a social event lasting into the night. The minimum drinking age throughout the United States is 21, however the restaurant does not require attendees to be 21 years old. All are welcome.

Additional information, including summaries of anticipated talks, can be found on the Livertyvasion page. That page will be updated continuously throughout the months leading up to the event. As with Londonvasion, we also intend to publish videos and photos afterward.
