Jup, I can only give the same advice. There are people that think like 'yah! I have ps CS2, now I rule'. They think that once they have the programm, they are good at making stuff.
I have it myself also, and still I don't know half of everything, even less maybe. Although I find tutorials pretty usefull. Once do them, and then start experimenting yourself.
