Hi all, I am pretty sure I will get a new Computer by Christmas. But I dont know what to get, a PC or a Laptop, I have done fine before with PC's but a laptop has other large advantages. I was wondering if you could post a recommendation on what Laptop I should get and what PC I should get. Much appreacheated.

If you are a person who is going to use the computer a lot outside the house, such as university or job, you should get a laptop computer or a notebook. However if you are only the computer at home it is obviously you choose a PC.

Nothing more to add. PCs are stronger than laptops and better for gaming like Yoda said. So yeah, Home computers = PC. Travelling on business and work related occasions are for laptops, straight up.

Asuming you're not a gamer...

Get a PC if you like to sit in a comfy chair when typing posts etc.

Get a laptop is you don't care about how you sit or how you do either. Oh and if you go outside a lot.

If you want to be able to move around while on the computer, I'd get the laptop. I have a Dell Inspiron 8600 and it is pretty awesome...

Both are nice. Myself I use my laptop more because I live away from home, at college, and it's just easier to have a laptop than a pc here...
