I've lost a lot of friends to WoW, and I was wondering what your opinions on the matter were... Can some games be.. too addicting? I mean, an obsession like some people have is unhealthy (note the guy who died from 45 hours of straight PC gaming), almost like a drug.

Please be mature about this topic.

He "DIED" playing video games? How? That's aweful ;_;

Those online games are very addicting indeed. I like CS but I only play for about 30-1 hour az day if possible. I have a friend who plays for about 4 hours a day.

Crazy stuff man.

Yeah, he was in Japan, I believe. Played for 45 straight hours, left, and dropped dead soon thereafter.

This could pose a legit threat, as I know a lot of people who play games for marathon stretches and all nighters..

Longest I ever played was 11 hours...but that was because I had a broken leg. I had breaks in between to chat with people who came over though. Dinner and such...aswell.

Playing video game's isn't addicting like drugs or masturbation *Shifty Eyes*...

It is more of an obsession...I don't blame WoW, or any game for that matter, for killing people. Sure DOOM didn't help the Colombine kids, but that isn't the reason they killed them....

I don't mean the content of the games. Hell, I know they're fun and awesome and I play too much myself, but I think it is somewhat frightening how addicting some games are getting nowadays.

True, but any more then before? I spent more hours playing Super Mario 64, Perfect Dark, and Counter-Strike then any other game...
