Global Moderators (Super Moderators) moderate the whole board. Here's how you add them: If you have any special forums for these users to post in (ie, Admin and Moderator Chit Chat), you should add a Permission Mask. Here's how:

You may skip this part if you wish.
1) In Admin CP, find Forum Control in the left menu.
2) At the bottom you'll see a link to Permission Masks - click that.
3) Find "Create a new permission mask"
4) Next to "Permission Mask Name", type in "Super Moderator Mask" (without the quotes).
5) Next to "Inherit forum permission mask from...", select Members Mask.
6) Click Create.
7) Next to "Super Moderator Mask", click Edit.
8) Now find the extra forum(s) you wish for users in this group to access and post in. Place a check in Read, Reply, Start, and/or Upload to allow them to access and post in them.
9) When done, click Update Forum Permissions.

Now that you have a Permission Mask to use for this group, lets create the group.

1) In Admin CP, find Users and Groups in the left menu.
2) At the bottom you'll see a link to Manage User Groups - click that.
3) At the bottom you'll find "Base new group on...", select the Members group and click Set up New Group.
4) Under Global Settings, find "Group Title" and type in "Super Moderators" (without the quotes).
5) Find "Use Forum Permission Access..." and select Super Moderator Mask. If you skipped the first step, just select Members Mask instead.
6) Scroll down some more until you see Moderation Permissions and find "Is Super Moderator (can moderate anywhere)?". Make sure that this is set it to Yes.
7) Now find "Allow user group to post in 'closed' topics?". Make sure that this is set it to Yes.
8) Click Add Group.

You're almost there! It's now time to add the user(s) to that new group (Super Moderators):

1) In Admin CP, find Users and Groups in the left menu.
2) The second one down should be a link to Find/Edit User - click that.
3) Type in the user's name and click Find Member.
4) Next to the user that you want make Super Moderator, click Edit Details.
5) Next to Member Group, choose "Super Moderators" (or the name that you used in the previous step).
6) Scroll down to the way bottom and click Edit this member.
7) Optional: Repeat this process to add more.
