When search engine bots come and visit your forum they will be looking at the content of your forums, therefore you need to make sure that this content is laid out appropriately. With silly and unneccessary javascript header code and CSS definitions stuck in the <head> template this can often lead to Google undervaluing the actual content of your pages because they appear so low down in comparison to other forums and websites.

Therefore you can make a quick switch on in your vBulletin AdminCP settings which will load your CSS from a file instead of directly from the page. Therefore meaning that Google gets to the content you want them to see much more easily and efficiently than beforehand. To make this change visit:

Admin CP > vBulletin Options > Style and Language Settings
Store CSS Stylesheets as Files?

Tick, Yes
Please note that in order for your server to correctly gather your CSS data you will need to CHMOD your /clientscript/vbulletin_css/ folder to 777.
