Green Day - A punk band that has been around for about 16 years. At first there were just another band trying to make an name for themselves. Now there one of the more popular bands in America. Just recently, there music changed direction and they started to go in a more controversal scene of music, singing about politics and whatnot.

My Chemical Romance - Still a new band in a way. There first CD had a more emotional view to it. That and they sung about vampires and other freaky topics. There latest CD though has a harder hit to it, but with more of a punk/hardcore tone. There music is very catchey and easy to get into. Always pumping you up, this band will surly be around in the future.

Now here's where you vote on your favorite! If either of these bands interest you, do not here post other wise.

Uh. Green Day and My Chemical Romance do suck.....

Green Day was great in the early days.....but it seems their latest albums are pretty mainstream and....not so much punk as they are emo....

MCR IMO is one of the worst bands imaginable. They have no talent. They string the same chord throughout the whole song. The lead singer sings like hes got something up his ass......

I don't know about you, but Green Day was at least ONCE a good band....

I'm for My Chemical Romance. There music is awesome. I still don't get you and that "same chord" thing. If it sounds good, than don't change it.

But yeah, Green Day did completly change there ways of playing recently.

Their music both sucks, but because Green Day songs all sound the same, which equals to me having a passionate hate towards them, I vote for MCR.

If I had to choose one, it would be GreenDay. They used to produce some really good music and while I do like American Idiot, the rest of their newer CD wasn't really the best.

I cant really comment on My Chemical Romance, because i have only vaugely heard one of their songs so my judgement is really fulfounded. But i am a big fan of Green Day i like how their music is still quality stuff after so many albums and reinventions.
