Did you know that with the advent of vBulletin 3.5 comes a host of new features, one of these is the addition of AJAX to TSL. Which allows changes to be made and updates without any page refreshes or changes. For example most will have noticed that when replying to a topic that there are no page refreshes and that it is automatically added. Well this is only the beginning of the features.

Firstly if when viewing a forum, and you see a particular and you want to change the topic title; then dont despair instead of going into the thread if you double click in the table which contains the topic title then you'll be able to automatically edit the topic title with complete ease;

And now when you are wanting to change your topic content. Instead of having to load a new page to edit all you have to do is press the edit button and then you can do it right infront of your very eyes without any page refreshes making the process again appear easy and beautiful!

Also for those budding Administrators and Moderators all over about to upgrade to vBulletin 3.5 here is a little tip you can use to lock/open topics with just two clicks. Again when viewing a forum and you see a topic which want to open or close for whatever reason then simply click it status twice and it will magically close/open Check our example for more information:

You can change your Topic Titles.
I'll check over your permissions;
  • You can delete your own posts.
  • You can lock/open your own threads.

Nice thing for the staff team

When I saw the title "Tip#4 Ajax" I was starting to wonder. Ajax isn't that a cleaning project? Anyway, silly me.
