Okay I guess it's time for me to post my site here for review. We don't quite have 200 posts but we're close.

Other notes: As far as I know, Talk Camp is the only site out there with this topic (except for the official ACA Camps forums, but their one forum for counselors is pathetic). Basically, Talk Camp is a site/forum for camp counselors and other camp staff to talk about camp. I'm using vBulletin, and I have several hacks installed, including: Journals and a Survey. We also have a brand new links directory. That's about it.

Additional Notes: This is an extremely unique and original forum where i feel it could actually become extremely successful and popular with the right sort of marketing. There arent many Camp dedicated forums out there and publicing this forum around summer time and other annual holiday periods could result in a large diversion of traffic for those looking to catch on what is the best method to camp, equipment, location and such. The skin appears to be a hybrid from the dead www.aliensector.com i am really not a big fan of this skin design although it suits the theme of camping with its inclusion of green colors i dont think that its simplicity and basic design will appeal enough. Try looking for a more professional and smoother design?

Yeah it's one of those skins. I guess I could install a better skin. It's just this one has had so many edits made to it I don't even remember how to do some of them. It would be a pain in the butt installing another skin, unless it included minimal changes. I'll have to think about it.

The only thing I'm worried about is another forum that's going to be opening soon. After I opened my site, I read on the ACA Camps forum that someone else was making a site as well. But they haven't opened yet. I've seen the webmaster browsing my forums. Before I opened Talk Camp publicly, I asked him if perhaps we could work on one site together instead of compete (since at that time neither of us had a public site). He denied. So right now that's the only thing I'm concerned about.

Also, I made one of our members a moderator of a new forum: Problem Solving Techniques. He said he could provide a lot of information on the topic. He said he's even taught seminars on the subject. I hope this will make him more active, and make the other members follow in his tracks. I also included in the announcement which mentioned him being made a moderator and the addition of the new forum that I'm on the lookout for potential staff, such as writers and promoters. Hopefully this will also get people more active.

Dave nice niche, yet very seasonal I would think.

My first suggestion would be eliminate your forums down to just 4 forums. new forums have to start off small in order to become big.

Btw glad to see you elsewhere from the norm.. haha

Hey rex. Yeah I was thinking about re-arranging some of the forums. Maybe one of these days I'll actually get around to doing it.

I was wondering if I could get new reviews now that the site has growing to a more "reviewable" level.

Other notes: What I said last time is pretty much still the same. Uhh, we opened in October, so that will give you a time frame. Also, I recently wrote to the ACA and they agreed to let us post their articles from their magazine on our site! So that's some huge progress. I expect to get a lot of growth right before and right after the camp season.
