YgoETC is part of a chain of websites/forums owned by GaminETC, based in Connecticut. We run IPB 2.0, about to upgrade to 2.1. We've got a wide variety of YGO areas, play a large off-topic area with GFX, Gaming, Debate, Anime, Written Works, and others. Anything else you want to know, let me know.

Administration: 9.07/10
Moderation: 8.7/10
Member Activity: 8.5/10
Originality: 7.0/10
Overall: 9.2/10
Additional Notes: Brilliant forum. You've done a great job getting members and posts. Skin is tacky, IMO. You might want to consider customizing the place to make it a little more easy on the eyes. Layout works perfectly. Administration and Moderations are very, very good and solid. Same thing with your member's activity. Only problem is that there are a lot of big YGO forums, and that this one is pretty much like the others. Otherwise, a very fine job.

It's hard to distinguish ourselves from Pojo and Realms, since they are so big and have everything.

We have like, 5-6 skins...

Additional Notes:
Originality = 5 because Yu-Gi-Oh forums are just all the same. No matter how active, cool, or whatever, there all the same. Member activity is a 10 cause you have the advantage of a Magazine add. Though I can't say the same about your staff. No matter how you look at it, they can be the best around, but it will always come back to how you have that major advantage over other forums with your owners advertisment. I love the main skin though, it's so awesome. It's calm, and just perfect. Still though, I don't like when forums have more than 2 skins. I'd rather just keep it simple. This an awesome forum non-the less.

Wonder how the place will look when the Yu-Gi-Oh GX cards start rolling in.

I'm not a fan of forums with so many...forums, lol. Now it seems to be working just fine for you guys but it's not my thing. I'd combine almost half of what you have with other forums.

This way, it'll seem easier to navigate to the younger crowd and people not used to large forums.

Almost all of those forums are really active, and if you don't want to see a certain area, you can minimize the catagory and it's gone. Realms and Pojo are just as big/bigger, and they are our main competition.

Like I said, not my thing but it is working 4u so yeah, don't mind me ^^;;;

Pojo and Realms are bit to much though...and when you post, they get moved to the next page in like, 10 seconds. It's a bit TO active there.

I know, that's why we get alot of Realms refugees, cauz they'll actually get some attention with our mere 18,000 members

The forum is very attractive and has the perfect amount of members online at a time. Easy to get noticed and it makes it easier on your staff.

Thanks for the reviews.

I'm the other Administrator along with SnaKKer... sadly though we're going to be having a new default skin when we upgrade to 2.1, due to conversion issues with existing skins. Hopefully then we'll have the ability to trim the selection down to a max of 3. We can't right now due to the way the members have adapted to it, they'd flip out at a drastic change without just reason.

I like that idea. But I think the best idea is a custom skin and images set to remember your site by. It works pretty well. And if it's good, then it makes your forum better, too.

When we went to IPD from Ikonboard, we had several people preaching fire and brimstone. It won't be like that this time, just asthetic changes, more or less. Some neat little features that everyone will appreciate, too.
