It came from japan. That should have been obvious by the name.

Sudoku is like a crossword puzzle with numbers, except a million times harder.

Basically you have a grid of boxes, nine by nine. That 9x9 grid is separated into a grid of 3x3, each one of those boxes having a 3x3 inside of it.

The goal of sudoku is to get every number 1-9 in each of the 9 big boxes, in each column of the 9x9 grid, and each row of the same grid.

Sometimes you also have to get the diagonals, but that's easier because you have more to go on.

It's insanely logical and even I have trouble with it. It'll take several hours unless you have some sort of revelation or if it's a really easy one.

Got in trouble in english class for doing one...

Yeah this game was in the newspapers with an article about it yesterday, though it's not daily, it's hard.
