Please?!

1.) How can I make my forum active?

2.) How can I at least find people who know about the subject of my forum and will join?

3.) How do I make my forum appealing?

4.) If anything, can you guys tell me what's wrong with my board/something that needs work?

It's about the Eragon series of books (Yes. BOOKS.) and here's the link:

Please answer those questions for me.

Thanks,
BD

Well, first off. Advertising might help. Get some of your friends to get people to join and post around.

Find a website based on what your forum is about. Check out your local book websites and whatnot, and search for fans of the book your forum is about.

Loose all those pointless forums. It's way to large. Start off with just a few forums like the simple Hello forum and General Chat. And than 1-2 forums about that book(s).

To many forums. Large forums intimidate some people, causing them to ignore your forum.

One thing I might suggest are a few sub-forums for a large forum. It doesn't make your board any smaller but it's good as long as it looks smaller. As for me I link my sub-forums in my into my parant forum's description.

1). The theme works well, although the ads at the bottom are very distracting and take away from the theme. Right now I am seeing a blue (bright at that) google adsense ad. While I won't be poking around the footer for long, just something to consider.

2). To increase traffic, if you have a bit of money, try Google Adwords

Also, a good idea would be to search for Topsite listings relating to your forum's topic, and submit it thoes, that really, really helps. ^__^
