Well with The Staff Lounge fast approaching this, our first member landmark it'd be nice for other forum admins to come around and post in just how long it took for them to reach 100 members, and what they did to get there, e.g., last minute referall competition to hike those statistics

ETC started as a WebBBS board in January-ish of '03, and I wasn't there, so I don't know how long it took, but I imagine it didn't take long, since they moved to Ikonboard in May for more space/options.

100 members only took we less than a week and a half. I have 450 members right now and my forum has only been open a month and a half.

Dude, unless you give that place a complete restoration and change, I suggest you leave. Sticking around isn't going to help you any. Seven months is too long to wait around without any major changes. Please, take my advice. Stop torturing yourself. I know how you feel, and it really sucks. But sometimes, you just have to let go of the site if it really burdens you that much, and with no gain.

It took about a couple of days. I had alot of gaming clan members join within the first few days of me opening my site. I currently have 719 members after a few years of being open. Wish I could always average 100 members over a few days.

My most successful board was a Driv3r fansite. Took 5 days to get 100 members, 1000 members after a month. It then slowly died after the release of the game and finished up with about 1700 members, most of whom didn't post. But as I recall we had approximately 13,000 posts in a matter of a couple of months which was good going, considering I had no custom skins or hacks whatsoever.
