My site is fairly new and I need traffic. My site is like any other forum. Kind of like TSL but a little different. Any one have pointers on how to increase my traffic?

Make a quiz and add your url into one of the questions
Join a web ring
Join topsites
just a start.....

IF is a great start, but honestly, the urls are hard to remember, the IPB version is outdated, and it's just not too flexible. Plus, if you ever want to expand out of Invisionfree, it is a nasty experience to get the db file from the IF staff. :-\

Everyone needs traffic, and you can't expect us to get from us a place which makes your forum go boom. It is a slow process, depending on the topic of the forum.

Best Advertising Method: Word of mouth. Participate in several forums, put a little link or image in your signature linking to your website, if you are a good contributor and people like you, you'll get some nice hits from that.

Yes, well I would recommend SpreeBB. It's a above average free forum hoster.

I also 2nd the look thing and for a RPG forum it's really poor and it doesn't offer anything I can benefit from. Me being a RPer myself.

All you have to do is copy and paste it into notepad for it to be readable.

Anyways, I wouldn't really recommend IF if you plan on making your forum big. I would also recommend http://www.spreebb.com as Capt_Barbarian suggested
