I really don't know why, but every time I make a forum it always get's un-active after like 1-2 days, I really want to change that.

I do what everyone does, I advertise everywhere, I add it to topsites etc., it just doesen't work for me!

Please help me, what do I do?

Do not post something un-useful, please be serious, I really have a problem with this.

Do you have a good rep? Where do you advertise? What exactly are your forums about? Are the skins un-plain and attractive?

These questions might help us you know...

Well...I guess a computer forum is a nice subject but that doesn't mean advertising at active forums will help.

Your actually better off trying non-active forums, promising them a new active enviroment. That's how I got people to join a few of my friends forums, including this one.

Ensuring you have a consistantly active forum is the bane of all administrators.
You need to give your member something to keep them coming back and returning for.

I found you have to keep on top of your forum, think hard for new ideas and topics, once you slacken so do your members. I got sick and was layed up for 2 weeks, in that time even though my staff were trying their best, it really slackened off, I think it was because me has the owner puts more effort into new topics and ideas. Once i was back on my feet again I emailed all my members after i had worked my butt off with new things and they all came back. I don't have a lot of members due to not been very well and haven't had the energy to promote as much as i should, but what little I have at least half of them post everyday.

Agravic ,

Your forum topic computer is a little bit common now.If you want to boost this up.Try to add up post competition and referral competitions and award small prizes like a blog hosted or a cms setup.

This will for sure help you out!
