Hey there. I'm Dave. My current site is Talk Camp, a forum for camp counselors and other camp staff. I just opened it a few days ago. I have a lot of experience with vBulletin (as a user, mod, & admin). I've also run boards with phpBB and IPB as well. Anyway, I opened up Talk Camp for camp staff to talk about camp. Yeah, the logo isn't the best, but I'm not a very creative person!

Well, see ya around!

Dave

Thanks for the welcomes! And I think the forum idea is unique. I searched and couldn't find any others with the same topic.

The only one that is close is the official ACA Camps forums, but that only has one forum for counselors. The rest are for camp directors. But the bad thing is that they don't allow advertising over there so I can't really post about my site over there. Also, they disabled signatures. The only way people can find out about my site over there is if they click on my "home" button.

Anyway, you can see I'm getting members, unfortunately they join and never come back. I posted a thread about this elsewhere on this forum. I'll be posting my site for review soon...

Hey Dave. Your site is a really good idea. I suggest you advertise that in the right places. You could make a huge site and dominant for that subject, since well.. how many camp staff forums are there?

Anywho, make sure to check out our variety of forums to help yours succeed. Enjoy yourself and try and be as active as you can. Welcome.

Hey Ryan. Thanks for the welcome.

It's funny because if there's competition with other forums, it's hard to get started for obvious reasons. But when there's no competition it's still hard to get started because there's not too many related sites to advertise at. It's weird how that works out. Well hopefully it'll all work out in the end...

Try advertising on outdoors sites in general. Sports sites, even.

I've updated the logo. It's not the greatest, but it's a start. I'm thinking about centering the text and putting images on either side, instead of just on one side.

EDIT: The reason I'm not maknig a thread for forum review yet here is because I don't really have too many posts
* DarkWarriorXIImbers as of yet...
