I'm not sure, the owner does all of that. He owns like, 7-8 websites and has 3-4 forums for different games.

He's got a shop in Conneticut and everything, online stores for several games, webmaster, designers, and a full customer service staff. That's just for his business, then all of the forums are basically volunteer run.

We really only have three, one is the owner, and one is the webmaster, so we give them admin status in case they want to add IPB stuff or do upgrades.

Mkay. Zangoose, I've seen a bunch of threads now with you asking, in incomplete sentences, "How to get x amount of members??"

There is a reason this site is here. Look around. You needn't post that in every thread to get attention.

Also, SnaKKer, that guy must be really cool. I live 5 minutes from Connecticut, maybe I'll stop by his place (if it's anywhere close XD)

Well, I have one other admin, so she's like the 2nd admin. Then I have a Gmod, and that's about it.

Ofcourse I have moderators, but they only moderate there own boards, as they are professors on my roleplay, so they need certain powers. Although I don't really count these professor to the actual staff.

In total I have 4 staff members, spread over three forums. They are also the only ones I have contact with ^^

I see that a lot too. The forum I moderate actually only has 4 admins, and 4 moderators for 1k+ members.
(I've edited the numbers because I forgot to add the newest moderators that we received when we made it to 1k members)

IMO, there should always be more moderators than administrators. Unless for certain purposes.

Why might that be? I might agree with you if you have a logical reason!

Because it seems insensitive to have more people with higher permissions than not. Two admins should usually be enough for a forum with 1000 members. Maybe three. But 4-5 Mods is neccesary because the mods can have specific duties with members, posts, and threads. There should be more of them.

Meh, it's hard to put it into words.

No, No..
I understood that perfectly. I actually agree with you! I might discuss this with the administrator on the website.

There should be about a 5-1/7-1 ratio of mods to admins.

Admins are there to make command decisions and lead the forum. Mods do the grunt work of locking/deleting. There's gonna be a lot more work for mods to do than for admins, so you should have the staff allotted to do what is needed.
