Well I have only 55 or so members but I have several administrators. But I have only one mod. I dunno if that is okay.

My site has:

1 admin
1 moderator (for one forum, not global)
2 writers
50 members

I guess that's good? The writers are staff, but they're not like moderating staff. And I don't have any global mods yet. The one mod I have is mod of that forum because he's going to contribute a lot of threads to it.

1 Admin and 1 Global Mod is good for 55 members. Both of you combined should be able to do the work for a forum that small.

That is ideal for your forum size. Well done.

I make a lot of moderators, just because they handle stuff like RPGs and stuff like that... but nothing like what you said!

It helps to quote. But in most cases, the less staff or administrators, the better. It's basic forum security and management.

I think 500 members must and should have 5 active staff members!

Yeah but what I meant by that was about the mods for different forums... They aren't considered my "staff" and really only have authority in their forums... I rarely have any "staff" as in global mods or administrators.

That works for 16,000 members, surprisingly. Some of our people do so much work, if add any more, they'll be stepping all over each other.
It's nice but I'll never go over 2 admins.

And I stopped using normal mods I just make them all Globals because they know how to do their job. I don't have a seriously active forum yet (I changed servers) but thats how I had it on my old server. It's not only easier but they were also my friend and seeing as how they are veteran moderators it was wise and it's keeping my staff down.
