YaBB is TEN

Did you know that Yet another Bulletin Board was first released TEN years ago as of July 4?  That's right - on July 4, 2000, the first release of YaBB came out by Zef Hemel.  Several years later, it is still around as the second oldest modern forum system on the Internet, only surpassed by the 1997 release of UBB.  YaBB is still strong while other systems have come and gone over the years.

YaBB has had many issues as all open source projects do.  Release dates have sometimes been promised and passed, major leaps in development have been delayed or restarted, and the team members have come and gone.  With the recent release of YaBB 2.5 Anniversary Edition, including a special one-time only template, we hope to be giving you a sneak peak at what will be coming in the next release.  We don't want to list what for sure will be included until it is here.  For now, we want everyone to enjoy the many bug fixes and new features in 2.5 and wait out the upcoming release.
